These were three of the musicians we saw while we walked around in San Francisco on Saturday:

This was the superb dinner we had at The Slanted Door in San Francisco before we went to see Les Misérables. Organic chicken claypot, wood oven roasted arctic char and summer squash, all on jasmine rice:
I was fortunate to have spent the weekend in San Francisco with my husband and sister, where we had tickets to see Les Misérables at the Orpheum Theatre. It was the first time I'd ever seen the musical, and it was absolutely fantastic!
The next morning we got up early to walk down by the piers and have breakfast. Along the way we came upon several fisherman out early with their gear. This man was full of smiles, and I thought it would be lovely to sit and paint him. Unfortunately we didn't have time to stop, but I was able to paint him today from a photograph we took.

I'm trying to improve my skills in drawing architecture, and this is today's attempt. So far, organic objects are still much easier for me to draw...

We went for another hike in Bragg Creek, and when we returned to the main street to get ice cream(!), I sketched Madrina's, an Italian restaurant that is nestled in amongst the pine trees:
