Sketching flowers while I enjoy their gorgeous scent is one of the best things ever!

Yesterday's post showed all the intense colour I put into the two pours I did in this painting. After I took the masking off today, there wasn't much more to do but paint in a few details and strengthen some areas of colour. I'm staying away from the painting until tomorrow so that I can see it with fresh eyes and determine how much more it needs...

My first year of blogging has been a heck of a lot of fun, and very worth the work! Many thanks to everyone who have stopped by to see what I'm up to over the past year!!
Here is my latest watercolour painting after another couple of pours, and with some extra, focused detail in small areas. My next step is to remove the masking and see where I'm at, but I think the rest of the work on this piece will be some minor brush work.
